IMAGINE: 

• The Aged Care complex as the cornerstone of this landmark campus for retirement living and the aged, set within a village green in the semi-rural environment of Middle Swan, integrated within the wider community.                                  

CHALLENGE:

• Designing a new approach to Aged Care – as a welcoming resort-style living environment, interfacing with the outdoors, with skilful integration of leading edge technology, bearing away from the institutionalised model.

 

SOLVE:

• Creating a large but intimate facility with skilful integration of smaller comfortable communal spaces, dynamic but practical commercial operations that are service-driven, delivering a bespoke experience for the residents. The offering provides single accommodation and suites for a variety of choices, through to facilities such as hairdresser, gym and café to integrate around a colonnade leading to a future village green.  Palette of rural colours successfully referencing the materiality of the region.
